Get Involved

Every Australian can celebrate National Agriculture Day!

How you mark the day is up to you, but we've gathered a few ideas here to help spark your imagination.

Host an AgDay BBQ or event

Who doesn’t like a sausage sizzle? Especially when the sausages are made from Aussie meat and the bread from homegrown wheat. Get friends and family together for an AgDay BBQ or event. Be sure to register the details of your event here to receive a free package of AgDay goodies to help you celebrate!

Attend an official AgDay event

Between now and 21 November, we'll be announcing AgDay events right across the country - like our Black Tie Gala Dinner in Canberra. Keep an eye on our events page for activities in your area!

Enter the AgDay Photo Competition

Help us share the beautiful story of Australian farming, and the food we produce. Upload your #WeAreAusFarmers themed photos direct to our Photo Competition page for your chance to take home our $500 prize.

Teach a lesson in farming

Do your kids or students know where pasta comes from or how bananas arrive in their lunchbox? You might like to use AgDay as an opportunity to talk about how food & fibre are grown. See our classroom materials on our resources page.

Don your green shirt

Wherever you are on AgDay, throw on a green shirt (the brighter the better) to support our farmers. Encourage your community to wear green on 21 November - in your school, your workplace, or just around town! Don't forget to share a selfie of you in your greenery using the hashtag #AgDayAU!
